One thing you will be asked when you book with Whisper Photo Co. for your newborn photography session is what poses you do or don’t want. This question is optional but some parents automatically are drawn to some poses over the other. I am going to share my top 5 newborn poses and their names!

5. Potato Pose

I love the potato sack pose because most of the time the babies love it too! Its a great introductory pose to get them used to being handled but they are bundled up so well that they still feel secure and fall into that sleep.

4. Bum Up

I love this pose because they look so squishy and you can see all their little rolls. This pose is actually one of my hardest poses to do. They either hate it or love it!

3. Willy Wonka

I don’t know where they get their names from but Willy Wonka is one of my favorite poses especially for awake or fussy babies. Its easy for them to do because they are completely wrapped with a blanket draped across.

4. Egg Wrap

I love this pose because it kind of simulates how baby was snug in the womb and still shows off their adorable features.

1. Froggy

This pose is my top requested pose! As long as baby is sleepy and settled most of the time they will do it easily. And its adorable. The fluffier the cheeks the better.
